Join us for our April WomenRISE: Women Entrepreneurs Helping Women Entrepreneurs with Dr. Dewayanna Horn, Associate Dean and Professor of Management at Texas Woman’s University (TWU) in the College of Business.
As an entrepreneur and small business owner, meeting and networking with other like-minded women business owners provide a chance to learn from peers and find new ways to think about business challenges and opportunities that women and men face. There are plenty of networking events, conferences, symposiums, etc. that bring together powerful and diverse women in business, but are women really connecting and getting the help they need from other women to scale and grow their businesses?
This session is designed to explore strategies for women to seek and give help to other women entrepreneurs.
Speaker
Dewaynna Horn serves as Associate Dean and Professor of Management at Texas Woman’s University (TWU) in the College of Business where she teaches graduate management courses at the Houston campus. Her research interests include organizational citizenship behavior, women in leadership, and positive job attitudes.
To bridge the gap between theory and practice and to stay current in the industry, Dr. Horn coaches women leaders and business owners on the same topics of her research and collaborates with several women-focused business organizations in Houston.
