Speaking of Value: How to Make Money from Your Presentations… Even When You Speak for Free

Tuesday, June 14, 2022
7:30 AM – 9:30 AM CST
In-person and virtual event

Join TWU Center for Women Entrepreneurs for their first in-person WomenRISE in over two years. Jessica Setnick, MS, RD, CEDRD-S, author of “A Dietitian’s Guide to Professional Speaking: Expert Advice for Pitching, Presenting & Getting Paid,” will share on Speaking of Value: How to Make Money from Your Presentations… Even When You Speak for Free.

If you love to be on stage, want to get paid for giving presentations and have an expertise you want to monetize, this workshop is for you. In Speaking of Value, international speaker Jessica Setnick will share the pitching and planning strategies she’s perfected over two decades of public speaking. You’ll learn how to make yourself irresistible to event planners, how to stop leaving money on the table and how to make a free presentation pay.

During this workshop you will learn:

  1. How to make yourself irresistible to an event planner.
  2. How to get the highest possible fee for speaking.
  3. How to make money even when there’s no budget to pay a speaker.

Speaker

Eating Disorder Specialist Jessica Setnick is an experienced, excellent, expert speaker who presents worldwide to rave reviews. But none of that made a difference in her bank account until she learned to price, pitch and negotiate for herself. A combination of cheerleader, speaking coach and best friend who stops you from taking a live mic into the restroom, Jessica shares her strategies for getting and giving maximum value in her book, “A Dietitian’s Guide to Professional Speaking: Expert Advice for Pitching, Presenting & Getting Paid,” and through her websites, dietitianspeakingguide.com and Dietitian Speaker Spotlights.
