Launching, Promoting and Monetizing your Podcast

August 10 | 7:30-9:30 am

April and Kim will share lessons learned while launching Big Girls Pants Podcast, and offer key takeaways on what to do and what not to do. Launching a podcast can seem overwhelming in the beginning, this workshop will offer a step-by-step process on how to get your podcast off the ground from recording software, necessary equipment, editing, and hosting; how to increase downloads each week; and how to find sponsors.

Kimberly Shapiro is the Managing Partner of Sage Search Partners, a staffing and search firm in the Dallas metro area, a public speaker, and co-host of Big Girl Pants Podcast. She lives in Plano, TX, is married with two grown children, and one grandchild. She holds a BA in Organizational Leadership, and an MS in Organizational Learning and Technology.

April Melton is a Business Development Manager at PRG — a staffing and recruiting company in DFW, a mother, podcast co-host, and fitness enthusiast. She lives in Fort Worth, Texas with her husband Matt, Daughter Chloe and Puppy Lucy. She is a high school dropout, with her GED, about 21 credit hours — but that didn’t stop her from chasing all of her dreams.
